Sheriff's Deputies to Beef-Up Patrols for the Big Game

The big game is just a mere two days away and surely many of you out there are planning a party for the football festivities.

Tompkins County Sheriff Ken Lansing is urging that if anyone decides to indulge in alcoholic beverages for the Super Bowl, that you stay off the roads and try to get yourself a designated driver.

Sheriff’s Deputies will be stepping up their patrols for the weekend to keep a sharp lookout on the roads for intoxicated or distracted drivers, especially with Big Blue taking the field Sunday.

Super Bowl weekend is one of the biggest party weekends of the entire year and Sheriff Lansing is asking everyone to be safe and don’t drink and drive.
